SMSI 2020 Rescheduling and Outlook

Until recently, the General Chairs and the Conference Committee believed that the SMSI 2020 could still take place. But after the decision of the Bavarian Government of 16 April 2020 that major events are prohibited in Bavaria until 31 August 2020. This does also affect the SMSI 2020 now.

Thus, it was no longer possible to hold the SMSI 2020 as we have planned so far. We deeply regret this, especially because the SMSI - Sensor Measurement Science International Conference was to take place in this form for the very first time. But the health of our participants and visitors has to have highest priority.

Nevertheless, all evaluated and accepted short papers for SMSI 2020 will be compiled as a conference proceedings and published soon as quotable source at:
https://www.ama-science.org/proceedings/

Meanwhile the SMSI 2020 General Chairs together with the Topical Chairs as well as the AMA Association for Sensors and Measurement and the AMA Service GmbH as organizers have decided to hold the first SMSI conference right next year. SMSI 2021 – Sensor and Measurement Science International – Conference will now take place from 3 to 6 May 2021, in Nuremberg, Germany, parallel to the SENSOR+TEST Exhibition.
